What is new? The transition from connector and drainage tube have been optimised by using new connectors. With the new connectors, the drainage tube is inserted into the connector; the predecessor connector got inserted into the drainage tube, which have had the risk of leakages. Especially in connection with the profiled and kink resistant tubes, of for example the UB 1000 closed urine drainage systems for day & night, the drainage system UB2000 or the bedside bag UB 2000A, there have been some cases in the past where this combination have led to leakages at the transition.
The risk of any leakages are virtually ruled out. By making use of the new connectors and the new production procedure, the entire contact area can be adhered together and thereby ensure that the transition point is sealed at the best possible way.
We can offer you even more advantages with the new connectors: the needle-free sample port have a smaller space requirement and thereby becomes sleeker and less obtrusive. The discretion in the supply, especially for mobile users, is ensured and the risk of pressure marks, thanks to the rounded edges, reduced. From a hygienic point of view, the new connector offers also just comes with advantages! The smooth design of the needle-free sample port is easier to disinfect and hence also reduces the risk of nucleation.
