The UB 2000S urine drainage system is now available with slightly firmer tubing; however, it remains considerably softer than the UB 2000 with internally profiled tubing.
This change was prompted by feedback from some of our customers who noted that, particularly last summer, the tubing material became too soft due to high ambient temperatures and warm urine flowing through it, and that this was perceived to increase the risk of kinking.
Although there was no risk to patients at any time, we wanted to take this feedback on board and proactively implemented a product modification.
The tubing material of the UB 2000S has been made slightly firmer, though it is by no means as firm or rigid as, for example, our other drainage system, the UB 2000 (with internally profiled tubing).
